The prime objectives & functions of the corporation are:
- To undertake the marketing of micro & small scale handloom and handicraft industries products within and outside the State and to supply the raw materials, controlled commodities and such other materials required for the development of such industries.
- To undertake export of small scale industries products from India to foreign market either directly or in collaboration with other agencies government or private.
- The Corporation is carrying out the marketing activities of the products produced by the micro and small scale industries, cottage industries in and outside the State through its chain of retail outlets (sales centre) with a view to provide marketing support to small scale industries and uplift the rural economy.
